Small Bites on Wildfire Radio returns this Sunday, March 13th at 635pm EST with a fantastic lineup! #SmallBitesRadio has been named #14 out of the Top 30 Best Hospitality Shows on the planet for 2020 and 2021 as well as being named #23 Top Philadelphia Lifestyle Influencer in 2021. We are excited to welcome Patrick Conlin, the President of Wayback Burgers. Wayback Burgers, America’s favorite hometown burger joint and one of the nation’s fastest-growing burger franchises, is excited about their sales and expansion. Sales growth was bolstered by popular seasonal limited time only (LTO) menu items, such as the Impossible Melt, Fiery Bacon Burger, Bourbon Bacon Burger, Guac Burger, Brownie Milkshake, Pumpkin Caramel Milkshake, Tangerine Milkshake, Tangerine Lemonade and Chocolate Cake Shake. In the last 12 months, Wayback Burgers awarded 124 new franchise agreements worldwide and awarded the master franchise for when you Visit Japan, as well as oversaw 13 remodels and opened 18 new locations. Wayback Burgers also partnered with REEF Kitchens to operate 25 ghost kitchen locations within major cities throughout the U.S. All these transactions contributed to the company’s overall success, and it is looking to maintain this positive trajectory in 2022. Then we are thrilled to chat with Chef Jennifer Fear Zavala about the latest The Kimmel Cultural Campus - Garces Group Chef Jose Garces - Garces Family Foundation - Volvér - Chefs in Residency Program. Her residency will be from March 16th to May 1st, 2022. Chef Jennifer Zavala is an industry veteran, having spent 14 of her 27 year career in Philadelphia. A self-taught chef, Jennifer’s inspiration is drawn from her Mexican roots. Her career started in her home state of Connecticut, at a vegan macrobiotic restaurant. Zavala’s authentic style of cooking earned her a spot cooking in the kitchens of celebrities, Ozzy Osbourne, Britney Spears, Iron Maiden, Snoop Dogg and many more. Previous credits include, Cha Chas (Los Angeles) and here in Philadelphia: El Camino Real, Xochilt, The Farmers Cabinet, Underground Arts and Will BYOB. Jennifer’s star was on the rise, and included a stint on the 6th season on Bravo’s popular cooking competition, Top Chef: Las Vegas. Accolades include, 2017 Billy Penn “Movers and Shakers,” Best Cannabis Chef for Philadelphia Magazine, Best Tamales- Philly Current Magazine. Jennifer is a proud member of Les Dames d'Escoffier Int'l (LDEI) Les Dames d'Escoffier Philadelphia, an international philanthropic organization. She is also a CORE ambassador for the Philadelphia region. Jennifer continues to blaze a trail for women by disrupting the food industry with her passion for Mexican cuisine. She has opened her own Brick & Mortar with a cult-like following called “Juana Tamale” at 1941 East Passyunk Avenue. The menu consists of her famous Birria Tacos, Oxacan green corn tamales, and homemade, bavarian-filled Churros. Donations at Volver will support Zavala and leverage the opportunity for visibility for her community. As a woman, Mom and Chef, she plans to use these funds to put back into the community she is raising her family in. Last, but certainly not least will be Cole Glass, founder and creator of Hero Bread. In partnership with seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady and Subway and a robust following of high-profile investors across sports, entertainment and technology (Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman’s 35 Ventures, Diamond-selling artist The Weeknd, and multi-platinum artist Lil Baby to name a few) and is a particularly appealing choice for bread lovers who are interested in low net carb and keto lifestyles. Hero is a delicious low net carb, zero sugar bread packed with protein and fiber that looks, smells, and tastes just like traditional bread but has a significantly improved nutritional profile.
