LIVE this Sunday, July 22nd at 635pm Small Bites with Glenn Gross and Derek Timm of Bluejeanfood.com on Wildfire Radio we have Donato Marino who is the owner of D and L Coffee Service Inc. services which is Philadelphia’s premier bean to barista company as special host. Co-hosting with Donato will be Jim Jenkins, the founder of Philadelphia’s 10,000 American Flags Initiative. Three years ago looking to build higher levels of national pride in Philadelphia, Jim began the Flag Initiative, working with David Krain a resolution was passed in City Council sponsored by Councilman David Oh. There are now American Flags surrounding Abraham Lincoln High School (Philadelphia) walking loop which is approximately 3.2 miles long with the assistance of Jim Ortlieb and the Mayfair Civic Association. There was recently a benefit to support the Flag Initiative sponsored by Honorable Judge Zac Shaffer, and Joe Campbell of Chickie's & Pete's along with other local leaders. Philadelphia City Hall now has American Flags surrounding the top of the building as the 10,000 American Flag Initiative continues to gain momentum.

They will be joined in studio with Florian Furxhiu the owner of Illegal Tacos at Broad and Lombard in Center City District and also Mediterranean Café at 1427 West Passyunk Ave. Florian came to America in May of 2000. After graduating from La Salle University where he studied political science for the first year and then business administration, he was already planning on opening his first business which had been a long-time dream for him ever since he was a kid. He not only runs successful restaurants, he is a highly respected Keller Williams real estate agent as well. Can’t wait!

Also coming in will is Salvatore Lo Piccolo of SMC Fuels to chat about Piccolo Joe Coffee Bar. A new coffee business founded in Havertown, Pennsylvania - the proprietors are Italian Americans who came to the United States from Palermo, Sicily. In Italy the family owned a small farm before coming to the U.S. in the years following the second World War. Piccolo Joe Coffee Bar is about bringing an authentic Italian Espresso Bar experience to America. We wanted to bring that certifiable Espresso Italiano that has worldwide recognition to their local community. In addition to the authentic Espresso Italiano coffee beans they also offer Organic, Bird Safe, Fair Trade Arabica beans for their coffee drinks, as well as Nitro Brew and Cold Brew Coffee on TAP and bottled for grab-n-go. The location of Piccolo Joe Coffee Bar is going to be located at 400 E. Township Line Rd. Havertown, Pa 19083 - it’s a hometown favorite Sunoco Gas and Convenience Store that serves the community with the best gas prices around. Piccolo Joe Coffee Bar is the product of a tight knit team of workers: Chris Moynihan, John Murdolo, Victor Marchiano, Frank Baldassarre Jr., and Gianpiero Lo Piccolo. What a great product and idea!

To top it all off with a toast of a good drink in studio will be CJ O’Fria the Brand and Sales Representative for Faber Easy Drinking Liquors Craft Spirits from Midnight Madness Distilling, LLC and bottled by Theobald & Oppenheimer. They make a line of simple easy drinking liquors such as vodka, gin, rum, and flavored vodkas at a fair and honest price point made right in Pennsylvania, while still sourcing from the same places that the big brands do with an insistence on good quality spirits for all to enjoy. Sounds like a win-win situation to us, a good drink at a good price!
